Steps to repurposing: Paracord/Rope

What you will need:

Supplies

1.Paracord or thin rope2.Buckle3.Jump ring or D-ring4.Lighter5.Scissors6.Tape measurer/ruler

Measure your dogs current collar or simply measure around their neck

1

For every inch of collar you need one foot of rope. So for my dogs 12 inch collar, I will need to measure and cut two strands of 12 foot string

2

If your using paracord, burn the ends of the cord to prevent fraying

3

“Cobra” Weaving Process…

1. Take a strand of your cord and fold it together, making sure the ends are even. Put the folded side into the female part of your buckle and take the ends of the cord and pull it through (do this to the other piece of cord/rope also).2. Separate your middle strands from your outer strands.3. Start with one of your OUTER strands and go over the MIDDLE strands and UNDER the other OUTER strand.4.Pull the string through the loop you have just made.5.Pull tight.6.Pull tight.7.Repeat8.Repeat9.Repeat10. DO NOT weave all the bracelet yet, stop where you would like to add your jump ring and your dog’s tags.

5

Add your jump ring with your dogs tag attached and simply continue your weaving process.

6When you are almost to the desired length of collar stop and cut off the two outer strands.

8 Singe off the ends with the lighter

9 Slide the male end of your buckle through the two middle strands.

Take one of your strands and loop it under and over the bar of your buckle.

10

Do the same to the other strand.

11

12Do more of the weaving until your collar is finished and there is no more paracord left!

13Cut off the ends and use your lighter to melt the cord to your bracelet. If your not using paracord you can simply tie it!

Now your done!

14Now its time to go take your dog for a well needed walk!
