• Using dots and their proximity to each other to create value.

Hatching• Using lines and their proximity to one

another to create value.

Crosshatching• Using lines, line direction, and their

proximity to each other to create value.

Pointillism• Using pure colored dots placed next to each other

to create value and/or the illusion of different colors.
