●My name is Sofja, I am 17y.o. and I am from Estonia

●Currently I am studying in high school (12th grade)

●During this Euroscola day I have been a journalist, so my task was taking

fotos and filming the vidios, in order to make a report for Euroscola

website

Let’s get know each other

The beginning of our journey

Our jorney started 26.02.20 at 3am.

We had a flight Tallinn – Riga

Then Riga – Paris

And afterwards, we had a train to Strausbourg

Strasbourg

Since we arrived the day before Euroscola, we had enough time to walk

through Strasbourg and enjoy the streets of its old town.

Some members

of our group

●After the greeting words, presenters were presenting

their schools and countries.

● Then we had a brief overview of what was

happening in the EU during the previous week.

●After that we could ask a MEP from Brussels

any questions.

●And vote by ourselves like a real MEP.

The first part of the day

The second part of the day

●After lunch all participants of the

Euroscola day were working in their

groups.

●Journalists had an interview session.

●Then we gathered one more time in the

hemicycle to vote for the reports.

●Each group had its own report, which they

presented. We could ask our questions

about it and then vote for or against it.

Here is a quite big audio-interview with Asta from The Netherlands and

Ines from Portugal.

The ending of the Euroscola day

During the lunch, there was a “Euroscola

Game”, where we needed make a team of 4

people from different countries and answer

the questions, each of which was written in

an official language of the EU. In the end of

the day 4 best teams had their own

competition, in order to determine the winner.

There also was an instagram

contest for the best photo,

which won my group.

In the very end, the presenters of each country were given the

flags, which they were carrying with the anthem of the EU on

the background.

We would like to express our gratitude to our teachers and Euroscola

organizators for that experience and the opportunity to take part in

Euroscola day. We made new friends, we learned something new, we

practised our English skills. In other words, it was not only funny, but also

very interesting and enlightning. I think that everyone of us changed its

perception about the work of EU in a positive direction.
