Student Engagement 2nd Series

Oct. 21, 2014

In 7th Science, we had students create posters of the transformation of energy in organisms (7.7b). They were then asked to make a headline on the poster that showed what was happening in the transformation. This is a small sample of the posters. Submitted by Leah Pinto, BJH

It was used as a way to compare 2 stories, which I thought to be higher-level. I have attached a pic of the list we made during Circle Time. We will conclude this activity tomorrow by reviewing the comparison of the 2 stories and drawing a picture of a “Now I Think…” from the new version of Little Red. Kimberly Ledbetter-GES Pre-K

2nd Grade Science

In our second grade class we made origami fish and tested their mass! We all used to think that the folded fish would have more mass than the paper we started with. We now know that the mass didn't change when we folded the paper!
