Overdue library books and fines 1.Your Language Arts teacher will be notified

when your library book is overdue and when you have not paid your fines.

2.Your parents will begin to receive emails and phone calls when your library books become 2 weeks overdue, and when you owe library fines.

3.Very overdue books and very large library fines MAY earn a referral from Mrs. Perez.

Be responsible and do not earn a fine to begin with!

Behavior in the Library

•Failure to follow the rules may result in losing your library/computer lab privileges.

"What a school thinks about its library is a measure of what it thinks about education.”

Harold Howe, former U. S. Commissioner of Education

“A great library contains the diary of the human race.”

George Mercer DAWSON (1849-1901)

“There are 70 million books in American libraries, but the one I want to read is always out.”

Tom MASSON (1866-1934)
