Lessons Learned

National Erasmus+ Office - Egypt

“University Fundraising “ Seminar – October 23rd – 24th

•Play a vital role in fundraising Board of Trustees and Alumni

•When they align with organizational goals (VF, HDB)

•When they serve a specific purpose (Labs, Finishing of

floors, Scholarships, new Schools,..)

•When the target beneficiary is clear & well defined

Donations work best

•Should add value to the donor (Ex. :Sadko Training

Courses, BM support of other philanthropic activities) Donor benefits

•improves donor satisfaction and increases likelihood

of repeated donations. Regular, up to date, transparent,

reporting

• is the next donor. A satisfied donor

•Keep trying, use a new approach or a new venue

•Send regular University News & Updates

•Invite potential donors to all important events

It doesn’t always work from the

first time….
