From February 29 – March 8, 2020 the Canadian

Armed Forces will be carrying out an exercise that

employs temporary bridging assets and inflatable

boats in the vicinity of Chilliwack, BC. The

purpose of the exercise is to practice mobility

Have you ever thought about applying for the Secured Certificate of Indian Status Card (SCIS) But unsure how? This is what is required below:

• 2 recent Canadian Size passport photos

• 1 piece of valid picture ID the following examples can be used:

• Driver’s License

• BC Identification

• BC Services Card

• Passport

• Card is valid for 10 years

• Machine readable-zone, simply swiping at the border instead of

manually entering info

Call 604-824-3268 or 1-800-565-6004 and make an appointment to get started. The process only takes 8-12 weeks to get your new card in the mail.

Please ensure you have the correct Identification (Mandatory – ISC policy)

➢ 16 and Older: Two pieces of Valid original ID, one with a photo

➢ 15 and Under:

o Parent applying: Two pieces of Valid original ID, one with a photo

o Child requires either their Original Birth Certificate (Long or short) or BC

Service Card.

➢ Fee: $3.00

These are the only Bands that I will issue Indian Status Cards to. No exceptions! All Other First Nations please contact your own Band or Indigenous Service Canada (ISC) office in Vancouver 1 (800) 665-9320
