Baptism Readiness Class/Lenten Class for kids!In conjunction with the Sunset Dinner and Study for Lent, we will have classes for 1st-5th graders and childcare/play time for the younger children. The children will have classes directed toward Lent with discussions about how God sent his son, who God is, how the Holy Spirit fits into the picture. These will be done in a fun and interesting way that allows kids to ask questions and understand the topic. Older children (mature 3rd graders & up) who are interested in being baptized can choose to do a parallel class with Miss Stacy that will be similar to our previous baptism classes. These will include some discussions to continue at home. They will be fun and thoughtful

classes the kids will enjoy.

New Sunday Morning Small Group Studies Begin. We have had a great semester of worship, fellowship, discussions, prayer, games, and off-campus fun. Below is a schedule of the remaining Sunday nights.

3/13    Afternoon movie at Shea 143/20    Games/Small Groups 3/27    No Meeting-Teen choir returns from trip

In lieu of our regular Sunday night meeting this evening, we will meet at Harkins Shea 14 for the 1:15 p.m. showing of Rango (PG). Arrive a few minutes early to purchase tickets ($7, $5.50 <13) and to join the group.  Plan to pick up your student just after 3 p.m. at Harkins, or stick around and enjoy the movie with us!

We had another great 30-Hour Famine and were able to raise over $3,000 for World Vision in their fight against world hunger.  That's enough to feed 8 kids for a year! We had our biggest group in years and were happy to be joined by the youth group of Epic Christian Church. Thanks to all the teens for their hard work and for all those who supported and sponsored them in this event.

We are now taking deposits for summer camp with UCYC. Details to follow.HS, Ojai, CA, 6/5-10

• We would like to get to know you! Each pew has a Welcome Book in which you can let us know prayer requests, sign up for events and update your information. Please pass the Welcome Book down the row so we can hear from everyone!

• Communion/Lord’s Supper All followers of Christ are welcome to participate in our Service of Communion. If you have prepared yourself for this very special moment with our Savior, you are invited to his table. (1 Corinthians 11:23-30) Please take the emblems as they are passed and partake when you are ready. Some prefer to take it while it is in front of them before passing it along.

• Offering In our first two services, a special time for giving is set aside. Participation is an act of worship and voluntary. During our third service there will not be a time specific for offering but rather boxes are placed at the entry to allow for giving as you are led.

• Nursery We have a friendly, well-staffed and impeccably clean nursery located on the north side of the narthex. Please see an usher for directions

We hope your worship experience with us will be meaningful. To help you feel a bit more comfortable with our campus and morning programs, we have included a few recommendations. We are glad you are here today!
