Course Policy

1. Please turn off all electronic devices before entering the class.

2. Attendance: Attendance will be taken at the beginning of every lecture. If a student

is absent 7 times during the semester (including excused absences), the student will

be dropped from the class. Each tardiness is counted as one-half of an absence.

3. Grading Policy: Print your full name clearly on any material that you hand in to

be graded. Failure to do so will result in a grade of zero. Work neatly at all times

and clearly mark your final solution. Final solutions with incorrect or missing units

will automatically receive a grade of zero.

4. Homeworks: Homework problems will be assigned every week and will be

collected promptly at the beginning of class the following Monday. If there is no

class on Monday, the assignments will be collected the following Wednesday.

Homeworks have to be solved by utilizing the programming features of MATLAB.

Solutions to these assignments will be posted on Blackboard.

5. Final Project: The final project will be assigned later during the semester and will

involve using ANSYS/FLUENT to solve a design problem by methods of CFD.

6. Late Submission: Any late submission will be penalized 10% for every minute the

assignment is late.
