Achy, painful and/or swollen joints for more than three months.
Fingers and/or toes become red or blue, or feel numb and painful.
Sores in the mouth or nose that last for more than five days, or sores on the skin that will not heal.
Redness or rash in the shape of a butterfly across the nose and cheeks.
A fever of over 100 degrees for more than a few days.
Photosensitivity—a reaction to sun or light that causes a skin rash to appear or get worse.
Anemia, a low white blood cell count, or a low platelet count.
Seizures or unexplained confusion that lasts for more than an hour.
Chest pain while taking deep breaths.
Protein in the urine or swelling of the legs and ankles on both sides at the same time.
Blood clot(s).
Heart attack or stroke.
Sudden, unexplained hair loss.
Miscarriage(s).
