First person to hold Assistant Conductor position with the HSO. Cover all HSO Subscription, Pops, parks, run-out, education, and non-

subscription concerts. Conduct Family Concert Series. Conduct Pops concerts when needed. Give pre-concert lectures and assist with balance in an acoustically challenged

concert hall. Developed “How to Listen” lecture series which takes place in various venues

throughout the community. Interview for local news organization, and the HSO website to promote the

symphony. Speak at public events and in schools. Serve on Marketing and Education Committees. Work closely with Executive Director, Music Director, Development Director,

Marketing Director, and Board of Directors. Assist with orchestra auditions.

2010 - Music Director, Harrisburg Symphony Youth Orchestra, Harrisburg, PA

Conduct the Harrisburg Symphony Youth Orchestra. Began overhaul of the youth orchestra program by choosing professional level

repertoire. Organized the first fundraiser and parent committee in youth orchestra’s history, created HSYO Handbook and audition guidelines, changed the schedule to a full season, and created a new system for auditions.

Organize and raise funds for professional coaching sessions. Oversee conducting staff and website. Plan concerts, hire guest soloists, plan

collaborations with local choirs, and organize the concerto competition. Review program booklet and write program notes.

Champion contemporary works written specifically for this professional ensemble. Work closely with composers to edit music.
