TCS to set up large software development campus inNagpur
Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan lays the foundation stone
Phase I investment put at Rs 600 crore (Rs 6 billion)
TCS to employ 8,200 IT professionals in Nagpur
Nagpur, India, December 19, 2011: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a leading IT services,
consulting and business solutions firm, announced that it will expand its operations in the state of Maharashtra by building a
new software development campus in Nagpur with an investment of Rs 600 crore (Rs 6 billion) in the first phase.
The TCS Nagpur Campus will be located on a 54-acre property in the Mihan SEZ on the outskirts of the city. The HonbleChief Minister of Maharashtra, Prithviraj Chavan was present to preside over this occasion and laid the foundation st one for
Phase I at a ceremony held at the site of the campus today. He was joined by other dignitaries from the city.
Also present on the occasion was Honble Minister for Social Justice, Shi vajirao Moghe.
Once the two phases are completed, the state-of-the-art TCS campus will house 16,000 associates in the facility built with a
strong environment-friendly design. Ap art from world-class offices, it will have customer collaboration centers, cafeterias,
gymnasiums and outdoor sports facilities to offer a holistic environment to knowledge professionals.

auspicious function. We would not have b een able to commence this p roject without the help of the Maharashtragovernment officials including the MADC officials in Nagpur whose energy and commitment to this project has helped make
it a reality.
The campus will be built in two phases with Phase I containing 8,200 seats for IT services and BPO services. Phase II will be
of a similar size. Built with locally sourced materials and with an eye on sustainability, the campus will encompass water
conservation and energy saving features and be a zero-discharge facility.
