Introduction
Frazier (2013) argues that to be able to write in English, students must
have a basic foundation and understanding of the spoken
language. They must know about how to write alphabetical and
some basic sentence patterns to begin a good hand. And also the
skills that are helping students to write such as listening, speaking
and reading as part of the pre-writing steps.
The development of writing skills
According to Linse (2005), the process writing approach involves the
prosess-steps necessary to produce a good quality final piece of
writing. There are five steps of writing skills;
1) Prewriting
2) Writing
3) Revise
4) Edit
5) Publish
Objective of the study
Students understand how to write a good writing that comes from
their ideas and thoughts.
Target Learners
Second-degree students of junior high school
Activities
The activities are given;
1. Making sentence from random words
2. Listening songs to begin the writing activity
Activity 1 - Words
Make a sentence that contains at least 3 words from random words below!

Activity 2 - Songs
2. Listen to the song and complete the text with the words from
exercise 1!
