• Opening a few weeks after 9/11 didn’t help the box office. Pioneer Theatre at New York city kept playing X at midnight shows for 28 months and other theatres followed suit, this helped X gather a cult following. A special reference to E.T was made when the protagonist is shown riding his bike.
