The use of tools of communication and information-

sharing, especially the tools made available to us in the last 20 years by the widespread use

of computers and by Internet access.

Social Communication Media

Any form of media that facilitates communication and information sharing. Examples: radio, TV,

computers

Social Networking

The use of Web 2.0 computer technology to connect people of

similar interests.

Examples: Facebook, MySpace, Twitter
