title that catches the reader’s interest.

Author’s Name

The person who wrote the article. Usually located on the first page.

Subtitle

An article may have a subtitle, a secondary title that tells you more about the article.

HeadingsWords or phrases used to break up the text of an article into sections. Often printed in a size or color intended to stand out. You can sometimes outline the main points of an article by listing the headings.

Illustrations

Many articles are illustrated with artwork, photographs, maps, graphs, and tables.
