Plan

• The purpose of this training is to provide school-level test coordinators with the knowledge, skills and resources needed to effectively and efficiently administer the ACT Explore and ACT Plan tests.

• Participants will be able to:

• Plan and implement the ACT Explore and ACT Plan tests administration according to The ACT, North Carolina and Montgomery County Schools testing programs.

• Locate testing resources to assist with proper test planning and administration.

• Understand the current changes and future direction of the North Carolina and Montgomery County Schools testing programs.

• Develop a school-level testing plan

• Review of testing materials

• Administer the ACT Explore and ACT Plan tests with zero misadministrations

• Identify primary resources for an effective testing program

• Participate in discussions on actions that directly impact the testing programs

• Formative- Feedback via a plus/delta chart, parking lot poster and exit ticket at the end of today’s training session.

• Interim- Collect and review school-level testing plans.

• Summative- Audit the administration of the Explore and Plan tests.

• Should not be paid a consultant/tutor fee for services by an examinee or examinee’s family

• Before-During-After (pg. 4-5 and 62)

• Scheduling- 3 hours

• Test Rooms-NO cell phones, pagers or electronic devices (pg. 7)

• Calculators (Must use)-addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and square root (pg. 9 for approved list)

• Testing Irregularities- sick, disruptive behavior, observed working ahead/behind, (pg. 20-22 and 65)

• Breaks- 5-10 minutes between Test 2 and Test 3; collect test booklet and answer folder; lost time if it is not a scheduled break.
