MEET THE WORKER
My name is Sarah Mayerhofer and I have the privilege of teaching the 5th and 6th grade girls Sunday school class. It has been such a joy to get to know the girls as they come to church each week. Many of them have difficulties that they deal with at home, but it is such a blessing that they make the choice to come to church. Each week, I try to express to
them that I love them, but more importantly that God loves them, and sent Jesus to die for them. I want them to know that they are each special to God, and He has a plan for their lives. These girls are very special, and I am glad that God has given me the opportunity to tell them about Him.
BUS MINISTRY
For several years now, the bus ministry has had the tradition of delivering presents to the bus kids, and what a blessing it has become. The bus ministry, would like to thank all of those who participated in the “Giving Tree” this year. There was an abundance of gift tags on the trees with each tag representing a young girl, or boy, or adult who faithfully attends church on a bus. This year one of our buses had the privilege of going out on Christmas morning to deliver the gifts that you supplied. Words cannot adequately express the way the Lord touches the hearts of those who have the opportunity to go out and deliver gifts year after year, just like they touch the lives of those they see on Christmas morning. It is always wonderful to be invited into their homes to give them a gift and a hug along with words of encouragement and love. Thank you again Bella Vista Baptist Church for enlarging your hearts during the Christmas season and blessing those involved with the Bus Ministry. We are already looking forward to doing it again next year. Please consider joining one of the busses as they go out to deliver these gifts next year.

PATRIOT POST
What a blessing it was to see some of our CHA graduates during the holidays. I am so pleased to see those who have gone through our school want to come back an visit with the present students and staff. Some graduates of some schools have the, "I cannot wait to get
away from that place or those people." Here at CHA it is great to see our graduates with a great attitude of wanting to come back to see us and
let us know how they are doing. We want CHA to be a place were each student feels loved and they understand that the entire staff are here for their academic and spiritual success. One of the biggest keys to graduates wanting to come back is the support of dad and mom during their time here at CHA. A church, school, and parents working together is a good formula in helping to raise up grateful and respectful young people.

NEW YEAR REMINDER
WHISPERS FROM THE NURSING HOME
LIGHTHOUSE ADDICTIONS MINISTRY
Over the past month the teaching topic has been “Seeking Wisdom and Being Faithful”. We are learning from the Bible that obedience and faithfulness to the Word of God will help us become wise. To be known as faithful is to be: reliable, steadfast, and unwaverable. Faithfulness is also a measure of our relationship with the Lord. Overcoming addictions and besetting sins requires us to learn to be faithful to the Lord and His Word and not dwelling on the past. At LAM we stress the importance of forming good habits. We start by being faithful to the house of God and seeking wise council from the word of God and our church family. We encourage being in church, every service, to seek wise council through the preaching of the Word of God, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). If Sunday morning service is a help, how much more help will we receive if we are in church Sunday evening, Wednesday evening, Sunday School events, Friday night LAM, and whenever the church doors are open. Let us all start the New Year by being faithful; reliable, steadfast, and unwaverable. Commit to church services in the house of God and focused on His Word.
MINISTRY UPDATE
As we enter the New Year, remember and renew your commitment to participating in the Bearing Precious Seed Ministry and Pastor’s Prayer Team by sharing your testimony, passing out at least one tract a week, praying for Pastor to preach, souls to be saved, and the faithfulness of Bella Vista Baptist Church members. Cut out and use the graphic on the left to remind yourself to diligently pray for our pastor this year.

It is such a blessing to meet at the Bear Canyon Transitional Rehabilitation facility along with Mr. and Mrs. Barr, as well as the Lumley family. I look forward each Sunday to attending the services, singing, and talking with the residents who are very appreciative of our attending. One resident stated that no matter what the circumstances are, someone always comes from Bella Vista to sing, give a sermon, and pray; which he was very grateful for. A few weeks ago, I accidentally left my coat at the facility. When I went in on the next Sunday, the first thing they pointed out was my coat and that they had made sure it stayed there for me. I felt like I had family members looking out for me; the same way I feel about the church members here at Bella Vista. As per Acts 20:35 “...it is more blessed to give than to receive.” I pray that I am able to give them some joy and comfort during the short time that I am there.
