Burt Compton is your guide to the skies at Marfa Gliders Soaring Center. He is a Master Flight Instructor and FAA Commercial Pilot, offering glider rides and flight lessons year-round. After exploring west Texas for the ideal location to soar high above the Big Bend region, Burt chose Marfa Airport for the excellent weather, thermal updrafts and the crystal clear skies that allow wonderful views of the nearby mountains from the two seat glider. Visit www.flygliders.com for more information.
