THE TIME HAS COME

The Birth of The Higher Education

Emergency Management Committee

In North Central Texas

In the Beginning

Higher Educational Institutions created Emergency Management positions

And it was good.

In the Beginning These positions were filled by experienced

Emergency Managers

And it was also good

The newly hired Emergency Managers knew each other which made it easier to facilitate meetings which begot collaborations……

And that was very good.

THEEMC is born

A working group is formed that would not elect positions but would agree to meet on a regular basis.

Meeting locations would rotate and offer a chance to learn more about the host school.
