ReplacementTheology,alsocalled“supersessionism,”isthedangerousviewthatthechurchhassupersededorreplacedIsraelinGod’splanasHisChosenPeople,therecipientsofGod’sblessings,andtheheirsofHisCovenants.ThisbeliefsystemisrootedintheideathatGodvoidedcovenantsHedescribedas“everlasCng”becausetheJewsrejectedJesusasMessiahandcondemnstheJewsforHisdeath.�

HowitDevelopedChurchfatherssuchasAugustine,JohnChrysostom,theauthoroftheEpistleofBarnabas, and Martin Luther taught their disciples that the Jews wereresponsible for killing Jesus and should be shunned at best, persecuted andkilledatworst.DepartingfromtheApostlePaul’swarninginRomans11,manyin the early church, as it became increasinglyGentile, adopted thebelief thatthe Jewish peoplewere a forsaken people because theywere responsible forJesus’death.

IstheclaimthattheJewskilledJesusanaccurateone?

No. Jesus said, “No one takes my life from me. I lay it down of my ownaccord” (John 10:18). The Bible says that it was God’s own “predeterminedplan”thatbroughtaboutthedeathofJesus(Acts2:23).Anditwastheperfect,predeterminedplanofGodthatbroughtaboutJesus’sacriSiceonthecrossforsins and paved a way for redemption and relationship with Him forever.�

HatredoftheJewsandPersecu8onbyChris8ansThesadrealityisthatwhenBiblicaltruthsaboutGod’schoiceofIsraelareabandoned,avacuumisleI.IftheJewsareseenashavingfallenfromgrace,asReplacementTheologyteaches,whatplaceisleIforthem?Itbecomesabnormally raConal,under thiswarped theology, that the Jewishpeoplemustbehated,putdown,ignored,andshunnedsinceGodHimselfhasdisownedthem.

Andso into thisvacuumfloodsanC-SemiCsm,flowingstraightoutof thevile teachingsarCculated by numerous church fathers through the ages. Instead of loving the JewishpeopledeeplyandferventlyasGod’sveryown,thechurch,asawhole, learnedtohatethem.

InthebookTheAnguishoftheJews,FatherEdwardH.Flannerywrote:“ThesinofanC-SemiCsmcontainsmanysins,but in theend it isadenialofChrisCan faith,a failureofChrisCanhope,andamaladyofChrisCanlove.”boycoSngIsraelanditsterritoriesisnotpro-PalesCnian,it’sanC-peaceandanC-humanitarian.

TheHolocaust AdolphHitler’s answer to the “JewishQuesCon” known as the “FinalSoluCon,” did not suddenly appear because of one depraved andappallingly misguided generaCon. It arose because the church hadsoaked in the evils of Replacement Theology for centuries, spawningunprecedentedanC-SemiCsmthat,insomecases,persiststothisday.Ithappenedbecause for toomanyyears, toomanyChrisCanshadbeentaught the unbiblical and malicious doctrine of supersessionism.

TheChrisCanswhoweresilent inthefaceofgreatevilaidedandabeUedtheHolocaust. While there were some “righteous GenCles,” like DietrichBonhoeffer,whowent to great lengths to help the Jewish people during thisCme,mostdidnot.Choosingnottoprotectandpreservelifewhenitiswithinone’spowertodosoiswronginitself.Proverbs24:11-12says:
