The Custom-designed Cross will be a striking focal point of our new sanctuary. It must coordinate with the rest of the worship space and furnishings, age gracefully, and always keep us pointed to the Lord Jesus. As we get closer to a final design, careful consideration of materials, colors, texture, and proportions are all critiqued.

The Cross Design Team met recently to review the latest round of style concepts. Video conferencing allowed a spirited discussion/show-and-tell with the artist who resides in St. Louis. The group has narrowed a wide field of choices down to three main design concepts. Based on our discussions, the artist is exploring and tweaking additional styles for our review. Once we get closer to a final cross design, a full-scale mock-up (cardboard model) will be made. This is a great way to experience and evaluate the look and feel of our ultimate cross, before it is constructed.
