The Flash I shouted, "There is something wrong! Everything is wrong! This cannot be the right way. ... I stood there,

It is those who courageously fight against a world of injustices that own the braverynecessary to be titled true heroes. Indifference is humanity’s greatest enemy, for it

signifies the destruction of hope, and the end to caring for dignity. The Flash not onlybears one witness to society’s critical nature upon those who wish to stand up againstinjustice, but also to the failure of a man to actively continue to fight once threatenedby an opposing force. Climaxing the story is the man’s epiphany where he suddenly

realizes that the world he is living in is unjust and cruel. Upon unveiling his newfoundrevelation to the public, he is met with immediate scrutiny, angry glares, and yells.

Here, the man fails to overcome hatred and threats from opposition, and wasimmediately reabsorbed back into the collective. Life is meaningless unless one fightsfor what he is passionate about, for conformity lowers one to the level of indifference,to inhumane selfishness. One must battle for his beliefs and stand with fortitude when

his dreams are threatened, fueled by only his desire for change.
