Juniors perform in our Olympic Opening Ceremony

CROSFIELDS SCHOOL“The Family School of Choice”

A Royal Occasion....

..... as the whole school came together to enjoy a Diamond Jubilee street party.

A ROYAL OCCASION

GUINNESS WORLD RECORDChildren in the Junior School helped The Prince’s Foundation for Children & the Arts to achieve a Guinness World RecordsTM title for the most artists working on the same art installation by participating in ‘Face Britain’.

Pupils are amongst 201,948 children and teenagers across the nation who are not

Punch and Judy entertained Year 1 as part of their ‘Seaside’ topic this term. Crocodiles, clowns, strings of sausages, policemen, horses and ghosts also played their part in the show that moved the children to uncontrollable fits of laughter.

YEAR 1 PUPPET SHOW

only part of the UK’s largest art project, but are also officially acknowledged as Guinness World Records record-breakers.

OLYMPIC HERO VISITSOlympic swimming champion Duncan Goodhew brought some Olympic magic to school by addressing the children and showing his Olympic Gold medal and the Olympic Torch he carried on the first day of the 2012 Olympic Torch relay.

Nursery and Year 4 enjoyed trips to Ufton Court.

VISITS TO UFTON COURT

YEAR 7 VISIT MARWELL ZOOThe educational trip to Marwell Zoo gave the children the opportunity to look at adaptations of animals. They were also able to enjoy their pain au chocolat’s from the School’s French Day which took place whilst they were away!

OCEAN COMMOTIONIn this high energy performance, the Juniors represented different sea creatures, including the ‘The Great White Godfather and Godmother’ who joined together and succeeded in getting Bottlenose the dolphin released back to sea.

This year’s concert had an Olympic theme and included all pre-prep children.

PRE-PREP SUMMER CONCERT

SPORTS DAY

FRENCH DAYPain au chocolat, Boules, Tour de Crosfields, French quizzes, puppet shows and Tarte Tatin were the order of the day as the whole school joined in. The children helped raise money for UNICEF on the day by dressing in their own ‘French inspired’ clothes.

Every child participated in Crosfields’ very own Olympic Opening Ceremony.
