The IB MYP provides a curriculum of rigorous accelerated academic challenges that encourages students to understand the connections between traditional subjects and the real world and become critical and reflective thinkers.

The Personal Project

The personal project is a significant body of work produced beginning in grade 9 and culminating the spring of grade 10.

The personal project allows students to work on a project that has special meaning to them – something they have a passion to do!

The personal project may take may forms

For example:An original work of artA written piece of work on a special topicA piece of literary fiction (creative writing)An original science experimentAn invention or specially designed object or systemAn entrepreneurial business or project

Realistic Project: A student who has studied the Piano for a number of years decides to write and interpret a musical score for parts of a school play.Unrealistic project: A student decides to learn to play the piano.
