Ordoyoupresumeontherichesofhiskindnessandforbearanceandpatience,notknowingthatGod'skindnessismeanttoleadyoutorepentance?ButbecauseofyourhardandimpenitentheartyouarestoringupwrathforyourselfonthedayofwrathwhenGod'srighteousjudgmentwillberevealed.–Romans2:4-5ESV

WelovetotalkaboutGod’sloveandmercy,butwestrugglewiththeideaofGod’sjudgmentorwrathagainstsin.Especiallywhenitcomestous.WecaneasilyfindotherswhoprobablydeserveGod’sjudgment,butwesomehowthinkwearebetter.WeseeourselvesasinherentlygoodandworthyofGod’sspecialattention.ButPaulwouldwarnusnottobelievethatlie.TheJews,whoenjoyedaspecialrelationshipwithGod,werejustasguiltyandworthyofGod’swrathastheworst,ungodly,unrighteousGentile.NoonecanmeritGod’sloveandmercy.OnepersonisnomoredeservingofHisforgivenessandgracethananyother.AndwhenGodstandsinjudgmentofman,HeisfullyjustandrighteousinHisverdictofguilty,regardlessofhowreligioustheymaybeorhowvirtuoustheymayappear.TakeNotes(Teaching):
