Abstract The College and Career Ready Initiative of the Kentucky State Personnel Development Grant (SPDG) will develop a College and Career Readiness

pilot, and implement a CCR curriculum for students with LI, based upon the accountability model.

Our Approach ~ Build a College and Career Ready (CCR) model for Students Participating in Kentucky’s Alternate Assessment by
•Utilizing evidence based practices as the framework for the developing model•And Incorporating tools/practices currently in use as components of the model
Steps Taken So Far: 1.Reviewed Kentucky Occupational Skill Standards (KOSSA) and pulled those skill standards salient for population of youth participating in Alternate Assessment (inter-rater reliability) 2.Cross-walked identified, salient KOSSA with US Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy’s Skills to Pay the Bills research and curriculum (2012)3.Developed Employability and Foundational Academic Standards Alternate Assessment/Employability Skills Attainment Record (ESAR) based upon the above cross-walk4.Developed Kentucky Work Based Learning Certificate (KWBLC) Model
