WELCA NEWS
As I write this – snow is falling. It makes me thankful I can walk outside and get places. It brings to mind the many problems Sue Quam has and the many problems Tim has helping and caring for her. It is my hope you have heard about and plan to attend the fund-raising event to help the Quams. This event will be March 3, 9am-12 noon, at church. Don’t eat breakfast before
you come to church. Eat when you get there or before you go home. (Ladies no getting lunch when you get home.) Pancakes, sausage, eggs, coffee, milk, and orange juice. Free will offering. Invite you family, neighbors, and friends. Quam’s have been long time members of our congregation. They need our help! If you are unable to attend, consider leaving a donation at the church office. Mark it for the Quams. I know it will be greatly appreciated. Leah Wichmann Hinz, WELCA President

SUNDAY FORUM & FELLOWSHIP (SFF )
Welcome March! Our Lenten season begins and so we gather frequently this time of year. Our Sunday Fellowship time continues to be successful with many enjoying coffees, the cookies and some time to talk and share. In setting our Forum topics for the month, it looks to be a “Medical” theme for March. The future of medicine is the talk of the news and media. Whether it is Genomes or Biomes, medicine is on the move. We kick off March with a pancake benefit for one of our own. Tim and Sue Quam need support as Sue recovers from a stroke and Tim works as her care provider. One of our Sundays Dr John Wilkinson will answer medical or medicine related questions. Start thinking of those you might have. At the end of the month Dr Jeff Brault will talk about an interesting subject, “Regenerative” medicine. Come hear what that is all about. In the middle we’ll have a free Sunday for fellowship and one with follow-up on covered Bridge questions. So, this is what the Fellowship and Forum will look like for the remainder of the month. Come with questions and excitement to learn more.
3/3: Pancake Breakfast 9-12 Fellowship Hall 3/10: Dr John Wilkinson will answer medical/
medicine questions that folks may have. Vaping, Celiac Disease… Bring your questions that Sunday.
3/17: Follow-up time to ask more questions about Covered Bridge birthday.
3/24: Coffee and Fellowship 3/31: Dr Jeff Brault will give a brief talk on
“Regenerative Medicine”

Coat Closet News Our closet held more than 50 jacket/hat/mitten
“sets” at the beginning of the cold weather season.
Thanks to all who contributed. Now it’s time to
replenish our supply, to keep local growing kids
warm.
Please consider donating jackets (we can wash and
repair), and consider shopping at garage sales,
resale shops, donation centers (like the Salvation
Army stores), or your own closets to help us have
coats on hand for cold kids.
The most needed sizes are children’s 8-16, youth
and adult sizes. “Z-M Cougar” wear welcomed.
There is also a high demand for waterproof gloves
for elementary students.
The Closet is located on the lower level “hallway”
and items can be left there.
Thank you, Mary Goplen and Deb Wilkinson
