Medieval Society was organized in a feudal tree or pyramid system.

The King owned all the land.

WHO WAS ON THE TOP OF THE SOCIETY?

He gave parts of his land to the most important noblemen.

The noblemen supplied the king with knights and soldiers in time of war.

The peasants.

WHO WAS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SOCIETY?

They worked his Lord’s land.

They had no land.

They were very poor.

•You own all the land in the country.

•You decide who is a Lord.

•You are very rich.

•Your father was a king.

•If you loose a war, you will loose land and power.

•You command the Lords.

•The Lords and the knights fight for you in times of war.

•You rule a manor

•Many servants and peasants work for you.

•You are rich.

•Your father was a Lord or a king.

•You have to obey the King.

•Everybody in the manor obey your rules.

•You have to supply the King with knights in time of war.

•You live in the castle of the Manor

•You have some servants who obey your commands.

•Your father was a Lord.

•You have to obey your Lord.

•You have a horse and an armour.

•Eventually you can become a Lord.

•You have to fight for your Lord in times of war.

•You can’t leave the Manor without the permission of your Lord .

•You don’t have any possession.The land you work, your animals, your house, your clothes, your food… all belong to the Lord of the Manor.

•You are very poor.

•Your parents were peasants.

He worked his Lord’s land

His house belonged to his Lord

He had to obey always

his Lord

His son will be a peasant too.

His son can study and be whatever he wants

He works his own land

He lives in his own house

He can choose his ruler.

Nowadays he is a farmer.

...everybody can live in his own house?

...all the children can study and be in the future whatever they want?

...everybody can choose his rulers?
