The Candidates for Ordination (2018)The Candidates for Ordination (2018) Kyle Patrick Bell was born in Tampa and was baptized as a baby and nurtured in the faith at
Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Tampa. Though he always believed in God, his
relationship with Jesus took time to develop, and by the time he attended Florida State University,
our Lord was starting to really work on his heart. It was at FSU that Kyle first felt a call to minis-
try. Upon graduation he enrolled at Asbury Theological Seminary – a small Methodist seminary
in Kentucky. However, through his studies at Asbury, Kyle began to fall in love with the Eucharist
and the Roman Catholic Church. He enrolled in a local parish RCIA program and was received
into full communion in the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil in 2007. Kyle left Asbury and went
on to receive a Masters in Theology from the Franciscan University of Steubenville; but that
original call to ministry he had felt at FSU still tugged at his heart. Eventually, Kyle entered the
seminary for the Diocese of St Petersburg and on April 1, 2017 was ordained to the Transitional
Diaconate. As a seminarian for the Diocese of St. Petersburg, Kyle has served in the following
parishes: St. Raphael (St. Petersburg), Nativity (Brandon), and St. John Vianney (St. Pete Beach).
Reverend Kyle Bell will begin his first priestly assignment as the Parochial Vicar at St. Ignatius of
Antioch Parish in Tarpon Springs.
Louis (“Lou”) Gonzague Turcotte, was born on June 8, 1990, and grew up in Clearwater, Florida
with his parents and two sisters. Raised Catholic, he is a parishioner of Light of Christ Church and
attended St. Cecelia Interparochial School from kindergarten through 8th grade. He graduated
from Clearwater High School in 2008 and studied at the University of Florida, where he became
very involved with the Catholic Student Union and the Fellowship of Catholic University Students
(FOCUS). As his faith life continued to deepen, he felt God pulling him toward the priesthood,
and entered seminary in 2011 after graduating with a degree in Marketing. Through his seven
years of formation, Lou has had amazing experiences in hospitals, prisons, foreign countries, and
the amazing parishes of our diocese. With a heart full of gratitude for his life’s journey, and the
people who have been a part of it, Lou is looking forward to his priesthood with great hope and
joy. As a seminarian for the Diocese of St. Petersburg, Lou has served in the following parishes:
Most Holy Redeemer (Tampa), St. Paul (St. Petersburg) and St. Ignatius of Antioch (Tarpon
Springs). Reverend Lou Turcotte will begin his first priestly assignment as the Parochial Vicar at
St. Timothy Parish in Lutz.

The Candidates for Ordination (2018)The Candidates for Ordination (2018)
Timothy Robert Williford was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. Tim is the oldest of
three. He has a brother and a sister. While growing up, Tim attended elementary and middle
school at St. Paul’s Catholic School in St. Petersburg. After middle school, he entered a special
magnet program at Gibbs High School called Pinellas County Center for the Arts. Tim practiced
and performed piano during his high school years. It was also during this time that he started
working as a professional church musician in several parishes throughout the diocese. Tim
worked as the Director of Music for Light of Christ parish in Clearwater and has been actively
involved in the parish since 2003. Tim first thought about becoming a priest as a young child, but
the thought went away for a while during high school. After high school, he began studying as a
student at the University of South Florida and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business
Management. The thought of priesthood reoccurred strongly during his college career. Upon
graduation from college, Tim finally made the decision to enter the seminary. He was ordained as
a transitional Deacon on April 1st, 2017. As a seminarian, Tim has served in the following parishes:
St. Timothy (Lutz), St. Paul (Tampa), St. Cecelia (Clearwater) and Christ the King (Tampa). Rev-
erend Tim Williford will begin his first priestly assignment as the Parochial Vicar at St. Stephen
Parish in Riverview.

Second Reading 1 Peter 4:7b-11 Segunda Lectura
Translation:
B rothers and sisters: Be serious and sober-minded
so that you will be able to pray. Above all, let your love for one another be intense, because love covers a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without complaining. As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace. Whoever preaches, let it be with the words of God; whoever serves, let be with the strength that God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong glory and dominion forever and ever.
