JUDGES 19:1-20:30

THEME:

 Unchecked…there is a constant spiral into more and more depravity. It will not go unpunished. We Must call on God.

NIVJUDGES: GOD’S RESCUE IN PERILOUS TIMES

JUDGES 19-20

“when there was no king in Israel.” Judges 17:6, 18:1; 19:1; 21:25

“ So all the men in Israel were gathered against the city, totally united. “ Judges 20:11

Levite goes to Bethlehem to bring his wife home

(19:1-10)

Levite spends the night in Gibeah of Benjamin

(19:11-21)

Abuse and death of the Levite’s wife (concubine)

(19:22-28)

Levite cuts wife’s dead body into 12 pieces and sends a

piece to each of the 12 tribes (19:29-30)

The tribes of Israel rise up as one against the tribe of

Benjamin (20:1-10)

They kill all Benjaminites, except 600 who hid

themselves (20:11-30)

CHALLENGEDisobedience always brings judgment.

Pay attention to the warnings the Lord

provides.

CHALLENGEThe Book of Judges is a testament to God’s faithfulness.

Pray that His strength will keep you strong against temptation.
