th28 February 2019. Inspired, encouraged and motivated by the teachers, the budding innovators of PIS Baramati displayed different models and experiments with great enthusiasm and excitement. The even t p rov ided a p la t form for sc ient i f ic exploration and innovation for the future scientists. The
to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist and Nobel Laureate Sir C. V. Raman,
science department of PIS Baramati worked on these lines to put up an exhibition on 28 February 2019. The exhibits spanned on the three branches of science - Biology, Chemistry and Physics along with Mathematics and Social Science. The programme was inaugurated by Principal Manohar Mahajan. The exhibits presented by the budding innovators were indeed eye openers on various topics related to Green Energy, Innovation in Transport , Communication, Agriculture, Technology, Bio- diversity, Community Health , Environment and Mathematical Modeling.
Students came up with various working and non-working models, charts and m a g i c a l e x p e r i m e n t s . Working Models on modes of transports to Hydraulic lifts and Cranes, Models from Importance of Yoga to Wastewater Treatment Plant, Magical experiments like Water Bottle Fountain, Bubble inside bubble, Infinity Mirror and Non-Newtonian fluid created the special attraction. With an endeavor to promote scientific attitude among the budding young researchers , this exhibition was one of its kind. The j u d ge s a p p l a u d e d t h e students for their novel ideas which would help the world to become a much better place to live in. Principal Mr. Mahajan thanked all the participating students and t e a c h e r s o f S c i e n c e , Mathematics and Social sciences for making this event a success and appreciated their novel projects. The three winners each from the three different groups such as Junior, Middle and Senior w e r e f e l i c i t a t e d w i t h certificate of merit.

Budding singers brought laurels at State Level Singing Exam
The proud singing maestros Rucha Shinde (Grade
VIII), Prasanna Gadhave (Grade VIII), Tanvi
Dobhada (Grade VII), Mugdha Dobhada, and Arna
Bhandare ( Grade V) brought laurels at state level
Classical Singing Exam organized by Akhil Bhartiya
Gandharv Mahavidyala, Mumbai. In all 757 students
participated for the exam. Mt. Prasanna, Ms.
Mugdha, Ms. Rucha and Ms. Arna passed the
'Praveshika Pratham' Exam with first Class and Ms.
Tanvi passed the 'Praveshika Purva' with flying
colours. Mr. Sanket Barge, the music teacher guided
the students.
The Proud Podarites bagged a
crown of laurel at 'Spellathon
India contest by winning gold
medals at the State Level. In
all 46 students got qualified
for the national level that will
be held in the last week of
February.
'Spellathon India 'contest is
set to trigger the knowledge of
spellers of Grade I to IX. The
students were able to bear the
palm in the competition by
the tint of their consistent and
organized hardwork. During
this journey students dealt
with 'Inter-school Level'
where they successfully cut
the Gordian knot of 'State
Level'. The proud spellers are
set for the Herculean task for
the 'National Level'. All the
w a y t h r o u g h t h e
examination, students keep
abreast of rules of spelling
formation, rules of grammar,
etc. by solving various levels.
The questions are designed in
an innovative way which
assess their talent, improve
reasoning ability and cultivate
analytical thinking along with
logical thinking. It helps in

confidence building. They
aspire to be better in language
competency.
