The Skills for Working Life department, South Thames College, Merton Campus have been developing provisions to benefit all learners with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities, and with the funding from the LSC have managed to provide many new and exciting resources, giving learners opportunities that they would not experience otherwise.

-The newly built Life Skills Centre, which incorporates 6 kitchen stations, 1 of which is adaptable for disabled students washing and drying facilities and a fully functional interactive whiteboard for class based learning.

-A residential trip to PGL is organised which allows our learners to gain valuable independence, social skills and is a great stepping stone into building up confidence and self esteem.

-Skills for Working Life, Work Skills sessions are provided to those studying at E3 and above to prepare them for their future employment.

Opportunities for work experience are also available through our workshops with Mencap
