Bristish Museum

• Spend a few hours at the British Museum with your family. There is a fascinating collection representing history from around the world. The kids will enjoy the Egyptian section and the mummy room. Be sure to get the audio guide for kids. It is excellent. And best of all this museum has free admission for the whole family!

Camden Market

• You can shop for treasure at Camden Market. Check out the stalls selling clothes, accessories, art and souvenirs. There are food stall as well. Your teenagers will enjoy this vibrant market. Sunday is the best day to visit.

Tower Of London

• Head to the Tower of London and join a tour with one of the beefeaters and learn the fascinating history. Your teens and older children will enjoy all the gory details! Be sure to visit the crown jewels to see these beautiful pieces. The grounds are not very stroller friendly as there are several steep stairs to navigate.

Underage festival

• An instant hit when it first appeared in 2007, the Underage Festival is clearly exactly what junior music-lovers were lacking. Now an annual event, usually held in August in Victoria Park, the fest attracts the bands of the moment along with young up-an-comers snapping at their heels. This booze-free affair is strictly for 14- to-18 year-olds
