Introduction

Definition: “Engine”1. [A piece of software that encapsulates some function but can't be

used without some kind of front end. An analogous piece of software; notionally, one that does a lot of noisy crunching. The hackish senses of "engine" are actually close to its original, pre-Industrial-Revolution sense of a skill, clever device, or instrument (the word is cognate to "ingenuity"). This sense had not been completely eclipsed by the modern connotation of power-transducing machinery in Charles Babbage's time, which explains why he named the stored-program computer that he designed in 1844 the "Analytical Engine".  (1996-05-31) ]

From NME to Keyword SEO

Digital content (press release, article, blog, video, etc.) is coded with backlinks and keywords and processed through NME.

The submitted content begins to publish on new media sites within six hours and these sites are then “crawled” by search engines shortly thereafter.

This content on these sites then begins to appear in keyword searches. Simultaneously, the company’s corporate URL is elevated in searchability as a result of the increase in URL “authority.”

Prospects click on backlinks or corporate URL which takes them to corporate site

*Volume submissions are critical for achieving results. It is mandatory to process at least one push per month for system to operate – Four per month will produce excellent results.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PageRankPageRankPageRank is a numeric value that represents how important a page is on the web. Google figures that when one page links to another page, it is effectively casting a vote for the other page. The more votes that are cast for a page, the more important the page must be.

Also, the importance of the page that is casting the vote determines how important the vote itself is. Google calculates a page's importance from the votes cast for it. How important each vote is is taken into account when a page's PageRank is calculated. PageRank is Google's way of deciding a page's importance. It matters because it is one of the factors that determines a page's ranking in the search results. It isn't the only factor that Google uses to rank pages, but it is an important one.

Calculate the PageRank

To calculate the PageRank for a page, all of its inbound links are taken into account. These inbound links are the links from within the site and the links from outside the site.

The equation that calculates PageRank of a page is as follows -

PR(A) = (1-d) + d(PR(t1)/C(t1) + ... + PR(tn)/C(tn))

This equation is the original one that was published when PageRank was being developed.

In the equation, 't1 - tn' = pages linking to page A, C' = number of outbound links that a page has 'd' = a damping factor, that is usually set to 0.85.

So the equation simplifies to

PageRank of a Page A = 0.15 + 0.85 * (A "share" of the PageRank of every page that links to it)

"share" = the linking page's PageRank divided by the number of outbound links on the page.
