VOCALBOOT CAMP
a presentation of
JULY 12-24, 2010 LOS ANGELES, CA
Noteworthy singer, renowned vocal coach, and music arranger Nick Cooper, will open his studio to train the young stars of tomorrow! Having trained some of the music industry’s most celebrated artists of all time (i.e. Beyonce, David Archuleta, Mary Mary, Keyshia Cole, Letoya Luckett, Kelly Clarkson, Tynisha Keli, and more), Nick Cooper will lend his talent to students (ages 10-18 accepted) for an intense experience at Vocal Boot Camp.
Vocal Boot Camp is a two-week artist makeover set in downtown Los Angeles. The backdrop is an open studio space outfitted with the best choreographers, vocalists, pianists, guitarists, bassists, and more! Students are challenged and pushed daily to become better performers. They will also get a rare opportunity to record at the famed Westlake Studios complex where Michael Jackson recorded his record-smashing Thriller album that remains an
industry standard nearly 30 years later! You’ll also learn how to produce their own music and attend master performance classes. With many surprises in store for the students, the Vocal Boot Camp staff specifically design personal success strategies for each student. Nick Cooper promises that everyone in attendance will be inspired by these SIX short words: PLANT A SEED, WATCH IT GROW!
Each participant will walk away with invaluable interaction with top choreographers, musicians, engineers, executives, stylists, and coaches. Plus recording time in one of the worlds best studios. Everyone will depart with a video experience of the event, specific exercises to continue improving even beyond the two-week course, and a renewed perspective on the industry and its many possibilities.
OVERVIEW
American Idol alumnus David Archuleta is a former student of superstar vocal coach Nick Cooper. His self-titled debut album sold over 900,000 copies worldwide!
R&B singer/dancer Ciara looks trusts Nick Cooper to bring out the best in her sultry soprano voice that has yielded 14 Top 10 hits internationally including the #1 singles “Goodies,” “1, 2 Step,” and “Promise.”
The human voice has no better mentor; the spirit no better friend.
For many years, Nick Cooper has continually reinforced his claim to this title. As a respected artist, impassioned vocal coach, and heartfelt motivator, Nick secures his legacy by inspiring those around him. Performing professionally by age thirteen, Nick captured his first national television audience as part of NBC’s “Drug Free Zones” campaign. From there, he traveled the globe showcasing his talent, including a performance for the President of the United States. At sixteen, Nick landed his first gig on Broadway which solidified his love for music and performing.
His ambition and talent gave him the opportunity to work as a back-up
vocalist with superstar R&B crooners Maxwell, Kenny Lattimore, and Kelly Clarkson, even lending his talents to Disney’s The Lion King. He helped capture the hearts of millions through his work with Ciara, Letoya Luckett, Rain, Keb’ Mo’, Chante Moore, Alyson Stoner, and many more.
As one of the top vocal coaches in the world, Nick’s work spans the globe. Anyone who works with Nick, including celebrity clients such as Beyonce, David Archuleta, Mary Mary, and Katy Perry, know that his ultimate goal is to unlock the hidden potential within. From Korea to Norway, Australia to Japan, he strives to bring peace and vocal balance to each client he encounters. Many say that his approach creates change from the inside out, prompting mental shifts
that reach far beyond vocal freedom. In one lesson with Nick, you will walk away with greater understanding of your creative purpose, and a clear intention of how you aim to change the world through your gift!
Currently, Nick is producing a music based TV show featuring Kenny Lattimore, Lalah Hathaway, and Israel Houghton. He is also developing a vocal tutorial system, as well as the online magazine Vocalist.
Nick Cooper has been able to accomplish all of this while continuing his ultimate goal of mending broken spirits as a motivational speaker, and fulfilling his role as a vocal coach, liberating voices one at a time.
