The Escrow O�cer sets upRecording with the Title Unitand provides the Title Unitwith the dollar �gure expectedfrom the new lender.

A date down is done tocheck for tax payments andany newly recorded items thatmay a�ect the transfer of Titleand/or loss of priority.

Documents are recorded atthe County Clerk - Recorder’sO�ce.

Old loans are paid o� andany proceeds are sent toEscrow.

The Title O�cer writes theTitle Policies.

The Buyer and Lender’sTitle Policies are typed anddistributed.

The Escrow O�ce opensa Title order with the TitleCompany.

Customer Service veri�esLegal and Vesting, and sendsto Escrow.

The Title order goes to theProduction Department,property information issearched, recordeddocuments are examined, anda Preliminary Title Report isproduced.

The Preliminary TitleReport is emailed to Escrow,the Real Estate Agent, andLenders for their review.
