NEW ACADEMY !!Academy of Indigenous StudiesWhat is it?An opportunity for students to participate in authentic, hand-on Indigenous activities

aimed at enriching their understanding of the local culture while making positive

contributions to the community.

Who is it for?Students in Grades 10-12 are eligible to participate

Classes:English First Peoples 10/11/12 (4 credits each)

These are academic English classes recognized by Post-Secondary Institutions.

Indigenous Leadership 10/11/12 (4 credits each)

Indigenous Art 10/11/12 (4 credits each)

BC Frist Peoples 12 (4 credits)

Accepted at Post Secondary Institutions and satisfies the Social Studies 11/12

Graduation requirement.

3. Must have 8 courses in the timetable.

4. Please select a first and alternate choice for English and one alternate for the two elective classes you choose.
