Career Conference Rewards
Independent Sales Directors who complete their Way to Grow goal at least two
of the three months from Dec. 1, 2011, to Feb. 29, 2012, will receive an
invitation to the Way to Grow Luncheon and a name badge ribbon – along with
all of their contributing unit members with at least one new active* personal team
member. Plus, all luncheon attendees will receive a one-of-a-kind bonus bracelet

Make December the month to contact each and every customer in your file! Here are several important reasons to make your
phone sizzle with activity!

Here's all you need to do:
Call every customer and ask her: "___, our unit is conducting a "favorite product" survey. May I ask you a quick question? Great!
Of all the products in our Mary Kay line, which do you enjoy the most and why? Thanks so much, ___. For helping us, we are
offering a special on our lipsticks! In December only, when you purchase 2 lipsticks, you get a 3rd FREE! This is my special treat
for you and a thank you for being my customer!: (Or make up your own special such as a lip gloss or liner at half price with
purchase of a lipstick!)
Set a goal for yourself to make December the month to service like never before!
Last Minute Sales Yield BIG Profits!
Who tends to wait the longest to finish their holiday shopping? Husbands! Men wait because they don't usually like to shop,
dislike wrapping packages, and hate it when their wives take back the present they choose for them. Why not take advantage of
this attitude?
You can carry wish cards to every party and facial and have attendees write down which products they would love to receive as a
gift. During the first two weekends in December, you'll want to call these customers' husbands and say something like, "Hi, I'm
__, your wife's Mary Kay Beauty Consultant. I have a holiday gift buying service especially for men, including free gift wrap and
delivery of any item you choose. I have a list of items __ would love to have. Have you finished your shopping?"
If he says no, you can say, "Great! I know exactly what she wants! What price range do you have in mind? Wonderful! That will
give her the ___ she wanted. Where would you like your gift delivered?"
If he says yes, you can say, "Wonderful, have you thought about a small stocking stuffer for her?" If he says no, you can close
with, "Thanks, ___ for taking the time to speak with me. Please keep me in mind for your future gift-giving occasions. Let me give
you my phone number." Remember, he may not buy this time, but there's always her birthday and anniversary!
Tips for Working your Business between Christmas Eve and New Year's
1. Gear up for Last Minute Gift Buyers the last few days before Christmas! Make a HUGE basket of small gifts and stocking
stuffers. This is a great time to sell to men who wait until the last minute to do their shopping. HINT! Super selling Director
Brenda McCulloch puts her basket on the stair landing in the foyer… everyone going upstairs to the bathroom just about has to
trip over it! She sells stocking stuffers to everyone!
2. Christmas Day Satin Hands! Talk about perfect timing. Once Christmas dinner is over and all of the dishes are done, gather
your family around the kitchen sink and do Satin Hands on at least 5 people. What a great way to soothe those dishpan hands!
3. Take advantage of School vacation time between Christmas and New Year's! Talk to every school teacher and school
employee you know during this time period. The Christmas rush is over and you have a week to pamper them before school
starts again. Offer them facials and New Year's Eve makeovers.
4. Out of Town Family members are GREAT potential customers! If you are with out of town family members, now is the time
to get them on Mary Kay products - head to toe!
5. Conduct "PRACTICE" interviews on every family member you see during the holidays!
6. Great time to pamper people. People are tired and some have the "blahs" after the holidays. Offer facials as an "after the
holidays "pick me up"
7. Offer Your Customers an "After Christmas Sale" Put together a sales flyer with the things itemized that you want to move out
before the end of the year. Focus on leftover Limited Editions or eye liners, lip liners, and lip glosses that are being replaced.
It is better to do a Buy and Get One Free than a discount. Let them spend some of their Christmas/ Holiday money with you!

Sugar Plum All sugar and spice and everything nice!! Great for vibrant, festive,
COOL colors and SILVER sequined sweaters
Cheeks: Apply foundation and highlight cheese with a lighter shade
of concealer. Set with Loose Powder or Mineral Powder
Foundation. Blush cheeks with Strawberry Cream or Cherry
Blossom, depending on skin tone.
Eyes: Apply Moonstone Eye Color from lashline to brow. Apply
Iris (the darker shade) along upper lash line and in a splash of color on
the outer half of eye. Blend. Apply Precious Pink under brow on
brow bone. Apply Silver Satin in a V-shape at the corner of eye over
the Iris. Line along upper lashes with Coal applied wet as a liner.
Line lower lashes with Amethyst Eye Liner. Lavish lashes with 2
coats of Black Mascara.
Lips: Line lips with Raspberry Lip Pencil. Apply Whipped
Berries, Hibiscus, or Berry Kiss Lipstick! Top with Berry Sparkle
Lip Gloss.
Under the Mistletoe A look that is beautiful, soft, creamy in candlelight. Perfect with
winter white, creamy pearl, and pale pastels with iridescent beads.
Cheeks: Apply foundation and highlight cheese with a lighter shade
of concealer. Set with Loose Powder or Mineral Powder
Foundation. Blush cheeks with Shy Blush. Overlay with Sunny
Spice Eyes: Apply Moonstone Eye Color from lashes to brow. Apply
Honey Spice Eye Color on the lid area and Ivy Garden or some
other dark color on the outer half of lid. Blend. Line upper lashes
with Deep Brown Eyeliner and lower lashes with Olive Eyeliner
Lavish lashes with 2 coats of Black or Black/Brown Mascara.
Lips: Line lips with Neutral Lip Liner Apply Toffee, Amber
Suede, or Apricot Glaze Lipstick! Top with Cream and Sugar Lip
Gloss.
Candy Cane Perfect for the colors of Christmas, reds and greens, also taffetas and
black velvets!
Cheeks: Apply foundation and highlight cheese with a lighter shade
of concealer. Set with Loose Powder or Mineral Powder
Foundation. Blush cheeks with Sunny Spice. It is fabulous with
these Christmas-y colors!
Eyes: Apply Crystalline from lashline to brow. Apply Hazelnut on
the inner 3rd of lid and Ivy Garden on outer 3rd and up onto brow
bone. Apply a little Black Pearl on outer corner of Ivy Garden.
Lightly apply Black eyeliner and smudge with Coal with the edge of
the sponge tip. Lavish lashes with 2 coats of Black Mascara.
Lips: Line lips with Neutral Lip Pencil. Apply Red Lipstick! Top
with Starry Lip Gloss.
Cinnamon Spice: To wear with your warmest tones of bronze, gold, russets, and earth
tones. Perfect for vibrant GOLD sequined sweaters and dresses
Cheeks: Apply foundation and highlight cheese with a lighter shade
of concealer. Set with Loose Powder or Mineral Powder
Foundation. Blush cheeks with Sparkling Cider or Golden Copper,
Eyes: Apply Spun Silk from lashline to brow. Apply Silky Caramel
on inner half of lid and Copper Glow on outer half of lid. Apply
Cinnabar in crease slightly up onto browbone. Deepend corner with
Coal. Sweep Amber Blaze over entire eye area to blend. Lavish
lashes with 2 coats of Black Mascara.
Lips: Line lips with Chocolate Lip Pencil. Apply Copper Star, or
Gingerbread Lipstick! Top with Gold Rush Lip Gloss.
HO HO HO!! FOCUS on Holiday Glitz Appointments for the first two weeks of
December!

Hi, _____, this is _____ with Mary Kay. Do you have just a moment? The holidays are here and I know how
busy things can be at this time of year. I would love to treat you to a 10 minute Holiday Glitz look. I'm sure you have special Holiday
gatherings in the next few weeks and one of our Holiday Looks will make you look SO good! We can even schedule it for a time when you
are getting ready to go somewhere, if you wish. You can choose Sugar Plum, Under the Mistletoe, Candy Cane, or Cinnamon Spice. I
have several spots available next week. What day would be best for you… Monday or Wednesday.. Morning or evening… 8:00 or 7:00?
Continue to give choices. Realize that you may have to make a lot of calls to get these appointments! People are busy this time of year, but
they will want to look good! Have your sets and demos together and do it in ten minutes. These are for Basic Customers
"Hi, ___, this is ____ with Mary Kay! Christmas is getting closer! How are you doing? (Pause and respond to her response) Are you
traveling this year during the holidays? (In other words, chat for a few minutes). Get her talking and thinking Christmas) ____, the reason
I'm calling is because I have a special Christmas gift for you! Along with the gift, I want to do a quick Holiday Makover! We'll only take
about 15 minute and find a perfect look for you to wear to the holiday parties! Be sure to have that special outfit hand! I 'll find the perfect
look to go with it. Which would be better for you… (give choices, time, days, etc..)
The Gift? A Satin Hands pampering set sampler packaged beautifully in a clear gift bag with shred, tied off with a bow. At 4 for $2, that's
just 50 cents each (plus cost of packaging). This is a great gift because you'll be calling her back to see if she would like to purchase the
full size after Christmas! Whatever you choose to give, present it to her saying something like… "You are such a special part of my Mary
Kay success! Thank you for being one of my customers!"
