Decorate your bedroom in calming earth tones & include elements of nature to promote restfulness.

Don’t read or watch TV in bed - set aside your bed as a place where you sleep.

Relax with a cup of herbal tea or warm milk on the sofa before going to bed.

Unwind from your day with some gentle exercise, such as yoga or simple stretches.

Invest in a quality mattress and a bed that aids comfort and rest, such as an electric adjustable bed.

Trying to sleep with an empty stomach can keep you awake so make sure to eat a small snack before going to bed.

You’ll fall asleep more quickly if you get into a routine of going to bed/waking up at the same time every day.

Turn off your phone at least an hour before bed.

Ensure that your sleep isn’t interrupted in the summer months. Invest in black out blinds, curtains or a simple eye

cover.

Don’t sleep in too warm a room. Use fans or keep windows open to cool you down.
