TP-Link Router Guide
STEP 1
To begin setting your router up you will need to connect to your router using a ethernet cable in
your laptop/pc or connecting a device up wirelessly to the network TP-Link, then open a web page
open, typing in the top search bar you will need to enter an IP address 192.168.0.1 this should then
take you strait to your router.
STEP 1.a
When brought to this page you will need to log into the router, the username is admin and the
password is also admin.
STEP 1.b
You will then see the below page, you will need to EXIT the QUICK SETUP
STEP 1.c
On the left-hand side of the page you will see the tab NETWORK, you will need to click this tab for
the next part.
STEP 2
You will see on the left-hand side -WAN this is the correct tab.
STEP 2.b
WAN CONNECTION TYPE: the drop-down menu will give you a list of options you will need to choose
PPPoE/Russia PPPoE.
STEP 2.c
You will see PPPoE CONNECTION the USER NAME: and PASSWORD: will need to be provide by us,
this is usually the account holders name and some digits, below is just an example.
STEP 2.d
You will need to scroll down and save these changes.
STEP 3
The next step is clicking on the WIRELESS tab on the left-hand side -WIRELESS SETTINGS.
This is your wireless user name to connect your devices up so you can choose the credentials.
STEP 3.a
-WIRELESS SECURITY tab on the left-hand side is the next step, WPA/WPA2-PERSONAL
(RECOMMENDED) this is your wireless password to connect your devices up so you can choose the
credentials again, below is an example.
Once you have chosen a password you will need to save these changes by scrolling to the bottom of
the page.
STEP 3.b
You will need to click on -WIRELESS ADVANCED tab on the left-hand side and untick ENABLE WMM,
and then save.
STEP 4
On the left-hand side, you will need to click on the SECURITY tab and then -REMOTE MANAGEMENT.
STEP 4.a
In the WEB MANAGEMENT PORT: You will need to type in 8080.
STEP4.b
In the REMOTE MANAGEMENT IP ADDRESS: You will need to type in the IP address 185.4.24.199 and
then save.
STEP 5
On the left-hand side SYSTEM TOOLS, you will need to click on -PASSWORD, the old user name is
admin and the old password is also admin.
STEP 5.a
The new user name will need to be admin and the new password will need to be Purebroadband,
this is to log into your router and then save.
Once the changes have been saved it may take you to the login page of the router again, this is your
router now set up and ready for use.
