New to Princeton? If youwork in a lab orwith hazardous materials, there are somebasicpoliciesyoumustknow.SafetyTrainingAll faculty, staff, students, and visitingresearchers performing research inlaboratories must attend the University’sLaboratory Safety training, regardless ofprevioustrainingandexperienceelsewhere.In addition, any individual working withhazardous chemicals in workplaces otherthan laboratories must attend HazardCommunicationTraining.If you conduct researchwith recombinant/syntheticnucleicacidmoleculesthatarenotexempt from the NIH Guidelines and/orbiosafetylevel2materialsyoumustattendIntrotoBiosafetytraining.EHSoffersmanytrainingprogramstomeetthe needs of the university community,including radiation safety, laser safety, andrespiratoryprotectiontonameafew.ManagingYourTrainingTheUniversity’strainingmanagementsiteisavailableatprinceton.edu/training.Despitethename, theEmployeeLearningCenter isintendedforstudents,facultyandstaffandprovides the campus community with asinglelocationforalltrainingneeds.Individuals may review their own traininghistory (record) as well as view upcomingtraining sessions offered by severalUniversity offices, including Human
