Learning TargetsI. Fundamentals of operative hysteroscopy:Preoperative diagnostics, problems and complications, action to be taken when complications occur. Resection of polyps, myomas and endometrial ablation on the hystero-trainer
II. Fundamentals of laparoscopy:Application of pneumoperitoneum, alternatives at previously operated sites, action with obese or very slim patients, application of second puncture, optics
III. Procedure at:Diagnostic laparoscopy, sterilization, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, ectopic pregnancy, salpingectomy, adnexectomy, myoma enucleation and hysterectomy
IV. Risks and complications:Prevention of complications, action to be taken when complications occur, previously operated sites, adhesions, radiation therapy, hernias
Learning TargetsI. Implementation of operative hysteroscopy:Treatment of polyps, myoma septum and synechia; endometrial ablation
II. Laparoscopy:Myoma enucleation, LASH, TLH, extensive endometriosis, adhesions, lymphadenectomy, incontinence surgery, risks and complications including action to be taken
Participants receive a certificate of the German Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (AGE) and a diploma of the Kiel School after successful completion of the course.
The courses are recommended by the National Academy for Gynaecology and the Schleswig-Holstein Medical Association.

Morning Live surgery and short lectures
Afternoon Lectures and hands-on training on the hystero- and pelvitrainers. The hands-on training takes place on newly designed, authentic pelvitrainers according to a training programme (“Become an expert in four steps”) developed in Kiel. The focus lies on spatial awareness, skill exercises, preparation training, cyst enucleation and the acquisition of different suturing techniques.

Course length 4-day courseIntroductory half-day intensive course in clinical anatomy and a live demonstration of specially prepared anatomical specimens in cooperation with the Institute of Anatomy

Focus Advanced laparoscopic surgical techniques on human body donors
Course length 2-day course in the Kiel University’s Institute of Anatomy in cooperation with the Kiel School of Gynaecological Endoscopy, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University Hospitals Schleswig-Holstein. Under realistic conditions on body donors you can learn or deepen your knowledge of advanced laparoscopic surgical techniques under professional guidance.
Morning Lectures on urogynaecological procedures, hysterectomy procedures and lymphadenectomy Anatomical specimens
Afternoon Hands-on training on human body donors – laparoscopic operations
