Ryan King, VP of IT at Power Solutions International
Ryan King brings more than 20 years of experience in Information Technology (IT) to his role as Director of IT at Power Solutions International. For the past 10 years he directed the IT initiatives and leads out in implementing lean strategies using technology to help eliminate waste and foster continuous improvement across the entire organization. King was responsible for launching what PSI calls Lean Automated Process (LAP) – a company-wide initiative to utilize technology to automate processes in order to boost productivity and cut costs. Under King’s leadership, the company’s continuous pursuit of lean techniques has been hugely successful in increasing efficiencies and lowering the cost of doing business.
Prior to PSI, King held management positions in IT at IMS Manufacturing, ELF Machinery and IT Manager at Federated Media. King is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and also many other certifications in the IT field.

This may seem really rudimentary - start in one department and map out an entire process or choose only one part of the process and start to finish - question every step. 3 WHYs!
• Set a “VERY BIG GOAL”
• Schedule 2 hours per process
• Action Plan - return and report (follow up meeting)
• Provide the solutions using the technology at your disposal.
• Provide a time-line
• Provide a budget (if needed)
