VHF – 9 allotment zones with one coverage; UHF – 15 allotment zones with seven network coverage; Additional channels in Belgrade and South-East part of Serbia; SFN and MFN frequency network.

• July 2009 - The Government of the Republic of Serbia has adopted Strategy for Switchover from Analogue to Digital Broadcasting of Radio and Television Programs; DVB-T2 – Standard for digital broadcasting of television

signal; MPEG-4ver.10 (H.264/AVC) – Compression standard;

4th of April 2012 is set to be the date of analogue switch-off

• March 2012 – Decision about strategy changes;

• Jun 2012 – Rule Book transition from analogue to digital;

Analogue swith-off postponed to 17 June 2015

• EU pre-accession funds (IPA): Assistance to the digital broadcasting switchover in Serbia;

• Initial network is based on this EU assistance

• Ministry of Culture, media and Information Society: - Public procurement: Construction and design of infrastructure

systems for the broadcast and distribution of digital TV signals in the Republic of Serbia – Reconstructed 25 most important TV transmitter locations
