Code changes 2015

- smoke alarms to have visual signal- blocking in main bath now required at water closet, shower, and bath tub- Slip resistant surface finish for stairs and ramps- Increased barrier free passing area- Barrier free path of travel – all floor areas and roof amenity area. (essentially require elevations or ramps through majority of part 3 buildings)- Barrier free residential apartment suites up to 15% min. and spread out between floors and proportionate unit type.- Exterior walks (tactile indicators, wider curb ramps)- Power doors (operator and locations)- Restrictions on none barrier free accessible floors
