Activity nr 23 Create a “tree consumption” board

Measure the paper consumption we have each month (books, notebooks, photocopies) and “add” some cut trees on the board respectively.

Step 1. Fill in the number of students of each classes

in the program

Step 2. Take one student’s set of school books.

Step 3. Weigh it.

Step 4. Fill in the weight of books in the program to get a

total weight of all sets of school books.

Step 5. Take a set of notebooks of one student in this

class.

Step 6. Weigh it.

Step 7. Fill in the weight of notebooks in the program to get

a total weight of all sets of notebooks.

Step 8. Take one student’s set of additional school

supplies (drawing pads etc.)

Step 9. Weigh it.

Step 10. Fill in the weight school supplies in the program to get a total weight of all sets of additional school supplies.

Step 11. Fill in the number of photocopies in the right place.

The program counts the weight of used paper and converts the result

to cut down trees.
