My Nation and Me - India
"As a young citizen of India,
armed with technology, knowledge and love for my nation,
I realize, small aim is a crime.
I will work and sweat for a great vision,
the vision of transforming India into a developed nation,
powered by economic strength with value system.
I am one of the citizens of the billion,
only the vision will ignite the billion souls.
It has entered into me,
the ignited soul compared to any resource,
is the most powerful resource
on the earth, above the earth and under the earth.
I will keep the lamp of knowledge burning
to achieve the vision - Developed India".
- Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

From the Director's DeskDear Parents/Guardians,
“Well begun is half done.”
“With every rising of the sun, let's think of our life just begun…” But, with a renewed sense of
responsibility and dedication towards the betterment of our nation and the world through our
sons and daughters of Trinity Global School.
Indeed, Team TGS is very thankful to each one of you for the faith reposed in us for and during
the previous session 2016-17 with respect to the holistic development of the students you
placed in our charge. We endeavoured our best and kept our promises. At this juncture, let me
assure you, on behalf of my team, that we will never allow even the tiniest iota of complacency
to get the better of us.
The priority-areas that we shall continue to address in this session, 2017-18, with indefatigable
zeal will be as follows:
(a) Sincerest effort to further work upon children's number and communication skills will
continue to be made relentlessly. In this realm, more debating, elocution, impromptu
speaking and skit presentation exposures for the students will be some of the educational
higlights of this academic year too.
(b) Embarking upon newer areas of life-skill and soft-skill development among our children
and more innovative techniques through various sports and games will be the order of the
day as far as TGS is concerned.
(c) Further enhancement of general awareness, both formally and informally, and increased
readiness for the competitive examinations of the future through greater practice will be
carried out on a sustained basis.
(d) Developing greater love for English language through further Reading Comprehension
Practice and Opportunities will continue to be emphasised. In addition to this, Systematic
Listening Comprehension Practice will be introduced in right earnest on a regular basis.
(e) Basic Grammar will continue to be stressed upon with the help of more and more
innovative ways of entertaining situational-learning and contextualised grammar practice.
(f) Special parallel classes in Mathematics and English will be conducted keeping an eye on
'slow' learners and their improvement.
Dear parents, at this juncture, the immortal lines of Robert Frost's poem come to my mind:
“The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But, I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep and miles to go before I sleep.”
Team TGS pledges yet again for its sons and daughters: “Yes, we have made more promises
that we will keep and we will never go to sleep, never go to sleep.”
(Team TGS Patna)

ASSEMBLY PRAYERS
[1]
As I go into class today, help me to understand to absorb, to obtain
knowledge, to guide my thoughts and help me to use this for the good of all
mankind.
[2]
God of Light and Truth, thank you for giving me a mind that can know and a
heart that can love. Help me to keep learning every day of my life, for all
knowledge leads to you. Let me be aware of your presence in all things and at
all times. Encourage me when work is difficult and when I am tempted to give
up; encourage me when my brain seems slow and the way forward is difficult.
Grant me the grace to put my mind to use exploring the world you have created
and to be confident in whatever I do.
[3]
Give me cheerful spirit, God,
Inspire me to smile
That I may help a weary world
Along each passing mile,
I want to be an optimist
And look beyond the rain
Instead of always looking
For some reason to complain.
[4]
God, give me courage
To do what is right
Courage to speak, courage to stand
For honesty, goodness, justice and truth;
Courage to choose, the good in my youth,
Courage to own, when I'm in the wrong;
Courage to face the day, with a song,
Courage to guard my thoughts and my tongue
Courage to choose the right when I'm young.
10
[5]
O God, give me clean hands, clean words and clean thoughts.
Help me to stand for the hard right against the easy wrong.
Save me from habits that harm. Teach me to work as hard, and play as fair,
in thy sight alone as if the whole world saw.
Forgive me when I am unkind, and help me to forgive those who are
unkind to me.
Keep me ready to help others and give me chance to do some good every day.
[6]
O God, friend of the helpless and fallen, be with needy ones of our nation today.
Protect and help those who are starving, uplift those who are down-trodden and
despised, put new hope into those who have no hope.
Strengthen the hands of all, whatever their race or creed, who are working
honestly to relieve distress, feed the hungry, help the despairing.
Break down the dark strongholds of ignorance, of hatred, of fear.
Enlighten the eyes of those who sit in darkness, who know not and care not that
light exists in your world.
[7]
Dear God, thank you for the gifts of nature, the soil, the water and the air, the
plants and wild life.
Help us to remember that life, beauty and progress, depend on how wisely we
use them. Give us the wisdom to share the resources with gratitude and
without greed,
So that in this wonderful world, life is beautiful for everyone.

Know your child's school, his/her aims and his attitude towards the values and beliefs you hold.Become acquainted with your child' teachers and try to build a good working relationship with them.Take deep interest in your child's class and home assignments. Read with him/her frequently.Encourage your child to play physical, outdoor games everyday.Control what your child watches on Internet/T.V. and the duration of it.Watch your child's eating habits. Junk food can have adverse effects on his/her ability to concentrate and on his/her general health.Make sure that your child has sufficient sleep. Sleep deprived children do not learn well.Be your child's best friend. He/She needs all your mature company and loving support too.Help him/her develop interest in extensive reading.Help him/her inculcate healthy habits. Please encourage your ward to listen to good, age appropriate music and not to 'see' songs on TV channels.
They should take good care of their health and be robust and strong. They should always be friendly with others in and out of the school. They should avoid vulgarity and loudness in talk and behaviour. The should accept whatever work is assigned to them as their rightful share. They should face difficulties courageously. They should always be ready to lend a helping hand to their parents, brothers and sisters at home, to teachers and companions in school and to any unattended visitors they happen to meet in the school premises. They should stand and greet when any teacher or visitor visits their class. They should never cheat or be unfair at play or in examination. They should be truthful, whatever the cost may be.They should never be cruel. They should know that cruelty is the trait of a bully, while kindness is the hallmark of a gentleman. They should respect the liberty and rights of others. They should respect the beauty and presentability of the classroom and of the school premises and report any damage they may observe. They should never hesitate to say "No" when asked or tempted to do a thing which they know is wrong.Instead of lamenting and grumbling over the evils of this world, they should try to contribute their share in making it a better place to live in.They should not waste their time in idle gossip. They should take pride in wearing their school uniform and house dress. They should be brave and courageous and should express themselves freely, but always with politeness. They should accept their mistakes boldly, yet humbly, and learn from them.

As this school lays great emphasis on discipline - slackness, disobedience and disregard of the rules will not be tolerated. Any negligence of good manners or code of conduct, any work or action likely to lower the image of the school, is regarded as a breach of school discipline. The school reserves the right to expel students whose diligence or progress in studies is considered unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students. Immorality, insubordination or contempt of authority, breaking boundaries and causing damage to school property are always sufficient reasons for immediate expulsion or rustication or suspension.
As per the law of the land and CBSE norms, any sort of violent activity towards each other or use of foul or abusive language that in itself lowers the respect and dignity of girls and ladies in the school would mean immediate rustication of the wrongful student.
1. Parents are requested not to enter classrooms to see their children or teachers during the school hours.
2. Parents are required to inform the school if there is any change in their address and telephone number in the fixed proforma available at the school.
3. Children, when sick, should not be sent to school to attend classes.
4. Parents' attention is drawn to the fact that criticism of the school or teacher in the presence of a child should be scrupulously avoided because it causes the students to lose respect for their teachers with the consequent failure to learn from them, eventually leading to a slow overall progress or even deterioration and long term damage to the child and the family.
5. Should there be any legitimate complaint, please meet the Principal at the earliest or send a written complaint which will be personally looked into.
6. Any communication made by the parent/guardian should be addressed to the Principal and sent through the Class Teacher. The name of the student, address, phone number and grade & section should be clearly mentioned in the application.
7. Parents should sign the Progress Report Card and return it to the teacher in time.
8. Parents are required to be co-operative with the school to help their children progress by paying attention to their regularity, punctuality and discipline and taking interest in their child's work. They should check the Almanac every day and note the practice-work and other instructions given. They are advised to check the bags of their wards to see if any circular/notice/invitation, etc. has been issued and to check that the child is carrying the required books and notebooks only as per the day's routine or timetable.
9. Care must be taken of all school property and if any damage is done it will be made good by the concerned students together with a fine imposed for the offence. The students will also have to face strict disciplinary action as decided by the school authorities.
GENERAL GUIDELINES TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS
18
10. All the students are expected to join the school on the date notified at the beginning of the semester or after each vacation.
11. Absence of a student just before and immediately after the vacation would attract disciplinary action against him/her.
12. The wards of those parents who avoid meeting the authorities, when advised to do so, may not be allowed to attend classes.
13. Parents are requested to personally see off and receive their wards at the bus stop by presenting the Parents' ID card or the persons authorised by them should do the same after presenting the Parents' ID card.
14. Parents and guardians should understand that absence during the term is not in the best interest of the student. They are asked not to apply for leave, if it is avoidable. Leave can be granted to the student only on the following grounds:
Serious illness or death of a very near relative.
For a condolence visit, if the custom so demands.
To attend a marriage in the family.
(A permission slip is to be obtained from the Parent Care Executive at the front office and shown at the school gate before leaving the campus.)
15. Parents must first consult the school calendar, date sheets and other circulars before making enquiries over the phone about the same.
16. Parents and guardians are requested to read and explain the school rule to their wards.
17. In case, your ward forgets to bring the lunch box or any other thing, kindly send it properly labeled along with the Parent ID Card.
18. Students are not allowed to bring sweets, presents, etc. to school for any occasion like birthdays, Teachers' Day, Children's Day or any other festival.

Take time to THINK
It is the source of POWER
Take time to READ
It is the foundation of WISDOM
Take time to PLAY
It is the secret of staying YOUNG
Take time to be QUIET
It is an opportunity to seek GOD
Take time to LAUGH
It is the Music of SOUL
Take time to WORK
It is the price of SUCCESS
Take time to PRAY
It is the greatest POWER on earth
'There is a time for everything'.
