St. Anthony of Padua Church www.sapparish.org December 6, 2015
On March 13, Pope Francis called for an Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy,
which will begin on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, December 8, 2015
and will conclude on the Solemnity of Christ the King, November 20, 2016. A Jubilee
is dedicated time on the Church calendar, during which we place a special emphasis
on our relationship with Christ and one another. Throughout this Jubilee Year of
Mercy, the Church is called to emphasize her mission of mercy. We are called to wit-
ness to society the act of mercy that Jesus displayed on the cross—forgiving those
who crucified him. Our Archdiocese seeks to make this Year a time of spiritual con-
version to the mercy of God. By embracing the merciful love of the Father, through
the Sacrament of Reconciliation, in living out our baptismal call of service, or when
going on pilgrimage, we open ourselves to the transforming love of the One who
raised Jesus from the dead. As missionaries of mercy, we are sent to encounter Jesus
in others and witness with joy to all.

Second Sunday of Advent ~ II Domingo de Adviento

A diferen-
después, el Papa (Papa Calixto III) in-

Humility is to the various virtues what the chain is to the Rosary;
take away the chain and the beads are scattered,
remove humility and all virtues vanish.
