Our thoughts & prayers are with you!
As most of you know we have been working on the play-ground for the past few months and we are now in the home stretch. We currently have two more loads of rock to be delivered, a fence to install, and last but not least, the area
around the playground to be cleaned up. I know it seems like a long list, but things are happening faster than you can believe. Our goal is to be completely finished by Heritage Day. -HUNTER-

WMU Operation Christmas Child: As September comes to an end, we look forward to the opportunities October brings us. One of those is Operation Christmas Child. The items for the month are pencils and sharpeners. Continue to place these items in the Christmas collection box. Volunteers are now busy preparing your donations for the boxes. Excitement grows as we work together to meet our goals. Loris First Baptist Church Goal: 475 SC Coastal District Goal: 18,000
SC Missions: Support our mission efforts throughout our state by giving to the Janie Chapman Offering. So much of our missions work in South Carolina depends on our giving to this annual offering. Connie Maxwell Children's Home, resort ministries, literacy initiatives, missionary kids (MKs), Camp La Vida, and many others rely on our prayers and offerings during this special emphasis. "Priceless" is this year's theme, quite appropriate for all God's children. Loris First Baptist Church Goal: $900

MUSIC NOTES BY JIM SMITH
Worship: I appreciate so much everyone that participates in the music program of Loris First Baptist Church. The singing of the choir and the congregation and the inspired playing of the accompanists inspires me weekly to enter our worship of God with great joy. I pray that you are led to worship every Sunday through the music. I notice that some people are not participating in the singing. I encourage you to use your voice to participate and to glorify God even though you may feel you do not have a talent for singing. God will bless your efforts in worship. I traveled with Rick and Tammy Kidman to Inman, SC on Monday, September 29 to participate in a concert at Holston Baptist Church with the South Carolina Singing Churchman. It was a tremendous worship and singing experience. Thanks, Rick for encouraging me to be a part of this exciting group. Adult Choir: The Adult Choir is in Christmas rehearsal mode as we are working on our Christmas musical "Come Celebrate Jesus" It will be a glorious experience as our Adult Choir and Adult Ensemble join together to present a glorious musical worship experience to honor and celebrate the birth of our Lord on Saturday and Sunday, December 13 and 14 at 7 p.m. Children's Choir: The Children's Choir rehearses on Sunday nights at 6 p.m. They are currently working on a Christmas musical, "The Power of the Holy Night", to be presented on Sunday, December 7 at 6 p.m. All the children in the church family and their friends are invited by Elisabeth Porter, the director, to be a part of this exciting children's musical. Other adults helping to lead this group are Reba Fowler, Sarah Johnson, and Dottie Ammons.
Team Kids: Now that school is in full swing, we look ahead to see what our children have on the horizon. Team Kids continues to meet, teaching and training our children about the Bible, as well as every day life. They are excited and ready to meet this world head on for the
Gospel! We would normally be getting ready for Fall Festival at this time, however, this year we are taking a break from that event and doing something instead that is more focused towards the children of Loris First Baptist Church. We are having a costume party and cookout at the Johnson’s home so that our children will have an alternative to the normal Halloween adventure. Youth: Our youth just recently returned from a trip to Rock the Universe at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL. We all had an amazing time worshiping God at the music festival as well as playing and riding rides!! It was a wonderful opportunity to spend time as a group and to get to know each other better. We look forward to going back next year!!. -HUNTER-
